The Truth About Baptism

What Does the Bible Say About Baptism?

The Scripture talks about baptism in Ephesians. In the fourth chapter, it says, “There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.” (Ephesians 4:4-6).

By reading the Book of Mark, you can learn how baptism relates to our salvation. In the sixteenth chapter, for example, the Scripture reads, “He who believes and is baptized will be saved, but he who does not believe will be condemned” (Mark 16:16). Baptism is a required step in receiving the forgiveness, or remission, of sins (Acts 2:38).
