God can direct our hearts. This literally means that He can remove the hindrances that stand between us and eternal peace. He desires to direct us into the love and patience that can only be found in His Son.
We are directed into the love of Christ because it will motivate us to honor God through Christian service. We are directed into the patience or perseverance of Christ because we need to be steadfast in our faith until the coming of the Savior.
Christians have a bright and glorious future! Our hope is grounded in the direction our Father provides for us in the inexpressible blessings of His Son.
