A daunting challenge – to have (possess) the mind of Jesus Christ!
Simon Peter further sets before our thoughts that Jesus left us an example that we should follow His steps (1 Peter 2:21-24).
So what does it mean to have the mind of Christ? As we learn of our Saviour’s life on earth, are we not impressed with His life of complete obedience to His Father’s will? His life of sacrifice is evident, along with humility, kindness, and love beyond description, to name a mere few of His attributes.
Let us accept the challenge and endeavor to live as Jesus lived – speak as Jesus spoke – obediently serve our Heavenly Father as He passionately did – and become more like our Lord and Saviour every day!
