Daily Lift – July 12, 2016

For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s (Romans 14:8).

Ultimately everyone’s life should be about bringing glory and honor unto the Lord in both life and death. When one dies, his life should be remembered as being a servant of God (Revelation 14:13; Numbers 23:10). When pleasing God is one’s goal then the future is win-win. Paul stated it simply, “For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain” (Philippians 1:21).

God owns everything, including each of us. As such we ought to bring glory to God. “For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s” (1 Corinthians 6:20).
