On Mount Sinai, God gave Moses a pattern for the tabernacle. After it was constructed, the Lord’s presence filled the most holy place. Now, the temple of the Lord is the church (1 Corinthians 3:16), and the presence of God fills His precious followers.

Our God is a powerful God. Our God is a holy God. Our God is a just God. Our God is a God of love and a God of wrath. There is no being who is comparable unto Him. When seen and heard, His majesty is awesome. He strikes fear into the hearts of weak and sinful men. We should honor Him. We should respect Him. As the prophet declares: “Let all the earth keep silence before him.”

As you view God, do you keep silence as you behold His presence filling the temple?
