THE MANAGEMENT TEAM

The elders have asked the “day-to-day” operation to be supervised by the management team.  They operate under the established guidelines of the 501c3 corporation as approved by the elders.

Gary McDade Gary McDADE became the new Executive Director of GBN in January 2009. Gary is ideally suited to this position because of his background, not only as a faithful gospel preacher but also as a financial professional. Gary served for several years as the preacher for the Getwell church of Christ in Memphis, TN, the staff writer for The Spiritual Sword quarterly journal, and director for the annual Spiritual Sword Lectureship. Gary also brings to GBN his broadcast experience as a speaker on the weekly Truth In Love radio broadcast from Getwell, as well as years of television experience and electronics training received while serving the U.S. Navy. Gary is also an elder of the Highland congregation.
Barry Gilreath Barry GILREATH, Sr. is also one of the elders at the Highland church of Christ. He has also been a faithful gospel preacher and an elder for many years at other congregations. In recent years he has worked full-time in television evangelism. Barry’s efforts are largely responsible for the existence of the Know Your Bible program which is seen localy in the Chattanooga area. In 1997 he organized and established the Preaching the Gospel program with James Watkins. In 2004 he proposed the Gospel Broadcasting Network which was accepted and launched in November 2005. In January 2009 Barry retired as the Executive Director of GBN, but remains active with the work as the Special Events Coordinator.
Leroy Dedmon  Leroy DEDMON has been associated with Preaching the Gospel from its inception in 1997. He served as “Key Contact” for the Atlanta Area until he retired from local work. His association with James Watkins spans more than a half century. Brother Watkins baptized him in 1957 and conducted his wedding in 1959. Leroy has preached the gospel for over 50 years. In August, 2004, he agreed to join the staff of Preaching The Gospel Television, where he served as program coordinator, maintained the website and served as the editor of the monthly newsletter. When the offices of PTG and GBN merged in January of 2008, he assumed the responsibility of Operations Manager.

Don BLACKWELL
Don has worked with GBN as a National Field Representative since its inception.  Don hosts the one minute spot called Sixty Seconds About the Second Coming as well as being one of the speakers on the Truth About series. For several years Don worked as the director of broadcasting for Truth for the World in Duluth, Georiga where he produced television and radio programs that were heard around the world. He is a graduate of the Memphis School of Preaching and has done local work in Alabama, North Carolina and South Carolina. Currently he preaches for the North Charleston church of Christ in South Carolina.  He can be reached by email.


VOLUNTEER STAFF

There are many who give their time to help in many ways. PETER WESSON coordinates the volunteers who come to the GBN facility on Sunday morning to answer the phone. He also spends several hours each week in answering questions from the viewers. Peter preaches for the Chattanooga Valley congregation in Flintstone, GA.
