Eternal Security
Small children sometimes cling to a parent as they walk, taking hold of a pocket or a pant leg and hardly letting go of it. Such a tendency to cling to Mom or Dad is a product of the child’s need for security with someone they love and trust. As adults, we do not outgrow our need for those same things. Though we may find them in family relationships, we, most importantly, find them in a proper relationship with the Heavenly Father. At the Fifth of Ephesians, the apostle Paul admonishes us to be followers of God as dear children, walking with Him in the sacrificial love that was best demonstrated by the Savior Himself. God’s love for His own is unlimited, and no one could be more worthy of our love and trust than He, in Whom is eternal security.
