For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God: (Exodus 34:14).
The ten commandments includes the
warning of having no other gods before
Jehovah (Exodus 20:3). Yet, throughout the
history of man there have been golden calf
gods, brazen gods, and even “unknown” gods
(Acts 17:23).
There is ONE God (Ephesians 4:6). He
was able to speak the world into existence
(Genesis 1). He parted the Red Sea (Exodus
14). He raised His Son Jesus from the dead (1
Corinthians 15:1-4). Other “gods” created or
concocted by man are powerless, false, inept,
incapable of saving or helping man.
“Fear God and keep his commandments”
(Ecclesiastes 12:13).
