Power of God unto Salvation
At First Corinthians One, Paul the Apostle observed that some regarded the preaching of the Gospel to be foolishness and were lost as a result. However, others understood the Gospel to be both the wisdom of God and the power of God. These were saved as a result. At Second Corinthians Two, Paul observed again that the knowledge he made known of Christ was unto some a savor of death, while unto others it was a savor of life. Regardless of the public appraisal of his Spirit-inspired message, Paul said at Romans One that he was not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ. Whether regarded as wisdom or foolishness, life or death, the Gospel was, is, and remains the power of God unto salvation.
