Heirs of Salvation
At the Fourth of James, we are taught to resist the devil, and he will flee from us. The Lord’s resistance of Satan in the wilderness at Matthew Four teaches the perfect lesson of how this is done; it is by wielding the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. By the Lord’s example we also understand the way to escape temptation of which Paul wrote at First Corinthians Ten. Having caused the devil to flee, the angels came to minister unto the Savior. If one were to choose the company he would like most to have, surely, rather than that of the thief of souls, he would choose the ministering spirits; those sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation.
