Salvation is Fourfold
The salvation of which the prophets spoke and wrote, the salvation which was fulfilled in Jesus Christ, is a salvation from sins that are past. However, it is also a salvation from sins of one’s present and future. More still, that salvation is one that is eternal. The Fifth of Hebrews assures us that the Savior is the Author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey Him. At First Peter One, the apostle promises that those who have been begotten again of God have a lively hope of an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled, and that fades not away, reserved for them in Heaven. Though the wage of sin is death, Paul the apostle wrote at the Sixth of Romans that the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Saved from sins of the past, the present, and the future, as well as eternally, in the Lord our salvation is fourfold.
