But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man (Hebrews 2:9).

The writer of Hebrews saw Jesus. What did he see? He saw that He was made a little lower than the angels. Christ assumed inferior flesh, not like unto angelic beings (Hebrews 2:16).

He saw Jesus was made for the suffering of death (Hebrews 2:17). Redemption demanded a fleshly sacrifice from the Savior (Hebrews 10:5).

He saw Jesus crowned. Though the Jews crowned Jesus a mock king upon the cross, the Hebrew writer saw Jesus crowned by God in glory and honor.

He saw God’s grace in Christ. Jesus tasted death for every man, so those who are thirsty for salvation might come and take of the water of life freely (Revelation 22:17).

How do you see Jesus?
