Inherited the Earth
In the business world, there is a realization of profit only after the calculation of cost. At the Sixteenth of Matthew’s Gospel, the Savior asked us to consider that there is no profit, even in the gaining of the whole world, if the cost has been that of one’s soul. Those who would even attempt such a thing may be the personality types of the Sixth of Matthew, whom the Lord indicated were overmuch concerned about the necessities of life. These things are Divinely promised to those who seek first the Kingdom and the righteousness of God. Those worried about inadequate provisions are either not seeking first the Kingdom, insulting the Lord’s faithfulness to provide, or both. The meek, on the other hand, retain both soul and sustenance, for they have inherited the earth.
