Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble (Job 14:1).
This life has so many blessings. God gives
us more than we ever deserve, and we
should be thankful for every blessing.
However, along with the blessings, there are
pains, struggles, and difficulties. Job summarizes
this earthly life as “of few days and full of
trouble.” At this time in Job’s life these words
were very appropriate. Your life may never be
the struggle Job faced, but we still see life fly by
and our struggles mount over the years.
It should cause us to look forward to the eternal
city, where there is not a single struggle. It should
also cause us to tell each person we can to overcome
the struggles of this life by preparing for heaven.
There, life will be eternal and empty of trouble.
