But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. (Psalm 1:2).
In what do we delight? What is our passion?
What gets us up in the morning, keeps us
going all day, and even into the night? Is it
sports? Politics? Our job? Family?
The stark reality is that things of this world
will soon pass (2 Peter 3:9-10). The only thing
that is eternal over which we control is our
soul. We determine the destiny of our soul
by whether we HEAR, LEARN, RESPECT
and OBEY the law of the Lord.
Jesus said His words would judge us at the last
day (John 12:48). Are you cramming for final
exams? Do we love our Lord (John 14:15)?
Then zealously, diligently and fervently read
His Word.
