Ignorance Itself

At the Twelfth of Luke, the Savior taught that punishment is greater for one that knew his master’s will and failed to accomplish it, while punishment is lesser for one who did not know his master’s will, even if that one committed punishable offenses. Because both the knowing and the ignorant servants are ultimately punished, there is really little comfort being offered to the latter. In eternity, all punishment is in hell itself. Whether greater or lesser, can one honestly say there is any place in hell he is content to occupy for evermore? At the Seventeenth of Acts, Paul the apostle declared that God once overlooked ignorance, but now, in view of judgment, commands all men everywhere to repent. Apparently, one of the things of which men are required to repent is ignorance itself.
