Daily Lift – April 5th, 2018

Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid (Matthew 5:14).

In John 8:12, Jesus said, “I am the light of the
world.” Here in Matthew, Jesus says that you
and I are to be lights, too! Our lights shine
when we reflect the light of Christ.

It is not going to be easy to let your light
shine in our dark world. Satan will scrutinize,
criticize, and do everything he can to try to
get your light to go out. Jesus observed: “men
loved darkness rather than light, because their
deeds were evil” (John 3:19). Some people will
not appreciate your shining the light on them.
Others, however, will be eternally grateful.

Be the city on a hill. Shine your light today
and help someone see the Way (John 14:6).
