So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple (Luke 14:33).
When Jesus says something cannot be done, then it cannot be done! We are unable to be followers of Christ if there is something that we put before Him. Nothing of this physical world should be more important to us than Jesus. That includes my job. That includes my family. That includes my friends. If necessary, would we walk away from those things today in order to be a disciple of the Lord? Are we that serious about our relationship with God?
Let us start today, and each day, with the determination that there is nothing that is going to keep my from following my Lord.
