Evidence is Love

John taught us that the love of God is indicated by the keeping of His commandments, which are not grievous. While God has shown His love for humanity by ordinances that are beneficial to him and not burdensome to keep, man shows His love for the Lord by the keeping of these. The Savior taught that the first and greatest of all commandments is to love the Lord with all the heart, soul, strength, and mind. Because nothing motivates a man more than his affections, his love for the Lord is that which inspires him to fulfill all the law of Christ as a yoke that is easy and a burden that is light. No wonder, then, that when compared even to faith and hope, the greatest Christian evidence is love.
