Daily Lift – August 25, 2016

Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able (Luke 13:24).

In Matthew 7:14 it says, “there are few who find it.” “It” is referring to Heaven in this passage. Heaven is our purpose for life. What are we doing with our life if Heaven isn’t our number one goal? Sometimes we think that Heaven is an unobtainable goal, we think that we have to be perfect to go to Heaven, but that certainly is not the case.

When we boil it all down, obedience is the only thing we need to do to go to Heaven. If we are obedient then we will do all of the things in the Bible, we will pray, we will study, we will be selfless. It is when we are disobedient;when we are not doing what the Bible has laid out for us to do, Heaven becomes unobtainable. Few obey God’s word. Few will find Heaven.
