Find that Sheep
At the Fifteenth of Luke’s Gospel, Jesus related that a shepherd with a flock of one hundred would endure a relentless hunt in order to reclaim single lost sheep. Upon finding it, he not only rejoiced himself but expected his friends and neighbors to do the same. The parable is descriptive of the Savior’s desire to reclaim the lost and the rejoicing in Heaven when they are. If a single lost lamb is worth such effort, then a single lost soul certainly is also. Some may have felt it necessary to solve their problems of sin before coming to the Lord. In reality, those problems cannot be solved at all before coming to the Lord. Why else would it be so important to the Savior to find that sheep?
