I Know He Can Speak

Children have been known to attempt the avoidance of responsibility by saying , “I can’t!” It seems they find the insulting of their own ability easier than the acceptance of the challenge. Adults may encourage them by saying, “Can ‘t never did anything, but the unfortunate truth is that adults are often guilty of the same thing. Surprisingly, Moses sought to avoid the responsibility God gave him to lead the nation of Israel out of Egypt. One of his self—deprecating excuses was that he was slow of speech. God set Moses’ elder brother, Aaron, by him with the admonition that Aaron, as an eloquent man, would be Moses mouth. Moses went on to be one of the greatest leaders the world has ever seen, and one of the most important men in Biblical history. He would have achieved none of this if God had not provided the necessary help, and just allowed Moses to talk his way out of greatness. What you may lack or feel you lack, God will supply if you will allow Him to help you realize your fullest potential.
