He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he (Deuteronomy 32:4).

One of the most rewarding ways to study the Bible is to ask, “What does this passage say about God and His relationship to man?” Few passages answer that question more exhaustively than this one from the great song of Moses. God is “the Rock.” He is our faithful and true source of permanence and stability, our shelter in difficult times and our shade when things heat up in life. He and His work are perfect. In our times of bewilderment and doubt, we can be greatly comforted in the fact that “all His ways are justice.”

We note God as “a God of truth,” “without injustice,” “righteous” and “upright.” God cannot lie, cannot behave unjustly, is never unrighteous and never behaves in a way that is truly morally suspect. Such a great God is worthy of our loving praise and service (Revelation 4:8-11).
