Daily Lift – December 30, 2016

If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small (Proverbs 24:10).

God’s people have always faced challenges in doing what is right, living righteously, in refusing to yield to Satan’s snares, in accomplishing the task before them. It took committment and great devotion to build an ark, rebuild the wall around Jerusalem, fight a giant, cross the Red Sea, and many other significant events.

As we have often heard, “when the going gets tough, the tough get going.” Solomon declares that if our faith and devotion falters when difficult times comes – then we lack strength! It is easy to be a Christian is all is joy, peace and no difficulties. We prove our loyalty and genuine resolve to serve our Lord when we face an uphill battle, but keep pressing on toward the goal. What do you have – small or great faith?
