Every Good Work
It was always and without ceasing that Paul prayed for the Colossian Church to be fruitful in every good work as they increased in the knowledge of God. Spiritual fruitfulness can be both inward and personal or outward and overt. The inward and personal type is described at the Fifth of Galatians, where Paul said the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance. The more outward and overt variety of Spiritual fruit includes the productive branches of the proverbial vine described by the Savior at the Fifteenth of John. The spiritual light of these is shown as that fruit is borne, and God is glorified by those who are fruitful in every good work.
