Your Magdala Moment

The Fifteenth of Matthew’s Gospel, as well as the Eighth of Mark, record the Savior setting Himself upon a mountain near the Sea of Galilee. There, He healed an unspecified number of people of a myriad of diseases and afflictions. Unwilling to send a multitude away hungry, He with seven loaves of bread and a few fish provided a meal for four thousand men, plus women and children. Taking ship, the Savior crossed over to Magdala, where He cautioned His disciples to beware of the doctrine of the Pharisees and Sadducees, which He described as leaven. When the disciples misunderstood His remark to refer to their failure to bring with them any more to eat, the Lord asked them if they had forgotten how that He had fed thousands of people with but a little. Perhaps you have from time to time failed to acknowledge the Lord’s ability to work wonders in your life. It may be then you’re having your Magdala moment.
