Own Him as Our Savior
When the Savior sent His apostles on the Limited Commission of Matthew Ten, He prepared them for the challenges that would be put in their way. They would be as sheep in the midst of wolves and hated of all men for the Lord’s sake. Yet, their respect for God was to supersede their fear of those who meant them harm. If, then, they under these conditions were still willing to openly own and confess their faith in Christ, the Savior would confess them before the Heavenly Father. At the Eighth of Acts, the Treasurer of the Ethiopian Queen verbalized his faith in Christ before being baptized for the remission of sins. Those of such faith are prepared to be Christians. If the Lord would own us as His own, then we should own Him as our Savior.
