From the Hand of God

People often rise from a peaceful sleep, perhaps unwilling at first to emerge from the comfortable bed. Nonetheless, one might even express out loud that it is time again to go make a living. Regardless of how grudgingly one might roll from underneath the covers, it should be considered that one of the things that made sleep so pleasant all night was the fact that the day before had also been spent making a living. At Ecclesiastes Five, Solomon observed at Verse Twelve that the sleep of a laboring man is sweet. So far as the prospects of the day are concerned, Proverbs Ten assures us at Verse Sixteen that the labor of the righteous tendeth to life; so, there truly is substance to the concept of making a living, and substantial motivation for getting the day started to do so. Besides, at the second of Ecclesiastes, Solomon wrote again at Verse Twenty Four that there is nothing better for a man than that he should make his soul enjoy good in his labor. Whether the reward of labor or the sweetness of restful sleep, both are from the hand of God.
