Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord (1 Corinthians 15:58).
Someone once said that the apostle Paul wrote the first fifty-seven verses of chapter fifteen of 1 Corinthians so that he could pen the last one with emphasis. Though a facetious thought, the fact that even the body of the Christian will be resurrected should motivate God’s child to do his very best in service in the kingdom of Christ.
And, knowing that there is a reward for godly labor, such should be motivation enough for us to serve him more and more as health and opportunity allow.
To be a part of the gathering of the kingdom of God in heaven is the most thrilling of thoughts for us who labor here for the reward there.
