The Word of Christ

The world bombards us with information every day. We are left with the task of discerning usable from the unusable, the real from the imagined, and the believable from the unbelievable. In the process of this, the gullible believe it all; the fool believes the lie; and the wise take the time to discern the truth. Fortunately, the Savior has given us a reliable guide to determine just what truth really is. At the Seventeenth of John, the Lord prayed for sanctification by the truth of God, Whose word is truth. None is unusable, imagined, nor unbelievable. All the Word of God is usable, real, and believable. Hence, we may both have faith in the Word and because of the Word. As Paul wrote to the Roman Church, “Faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the Word of Christ.”
