Daily Lift – March 28, 2015

And also all that generation were gathered unto their fathers: and there arose another generation after them, which knew not the LORD, nor yet the works which he had done for Israel (Judges 2:10).

This passage contains a sobering and motivational truth. We cannot assume that our young people will adopt by default the pattern of how to be saved and how to worship God. We cannot trust the Bible School program alone to educate the next generation. This is the primary responsibility of parents and grandparents who know the truth (Deuteronomy 6:6-9; 11:18-21; Psalm 78:1-8; 2 Timothy 1:5).

Because we are always only one generation from apostasy, we must teach our children how to know the LORD. We must tell them of the marvelous things God has done. Sometime today, and every day, we need to pass the truth on to the next generation of believers. The time is now!
