Daily Lift – March 29, 2015

Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God and his doctrine be not blasphemed (1 Timothy 6:1).

A man once said, “A Christian’s life may be the only Bible that some ever read”. It is a fact that some people will make decisions about the value of living a Christian life simply by the behavior of those who profess it.

Christians are to be different. One of those differences is how a Christian approaches those in positions of authority, including their boss. How do you count your employer? Among all employees Christians ought to be the best of the best, not because of who their earthly boss is, but because of who their Lord is.

Let us count our masters worthy of all honor. Let us not give occasion for God and His word to be blasphemed by men.
