Daily Lift – May 14, 2015

Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons’ sons (Deuteronomy 4:9).

Memory is one of God’s greatest gifts to mankind, but all too often it seems our “forgetery” works better than our memory. How often the Israelites forgot their God and what great things He had done for them (Jeremiah 2:9-13).

We need each day to give diligence, give some time to remembering what God has done for us. What blessings has God given you? What have your eyes seen from the hand of God?

Every child and grandchild loves to hear stories from the ones they love. What an opportunity today to present and share with coming generations the wonders and power of God.
