Daily Lift – May 23rd, 2018

Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man (Colossians 4:6).

Knowing the right thing to say and the right time to say it would be a priceless treasure, for “A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver” (Proverbs 25:11). The language of the child of God should always have that type of value as he measures his words to see that they be graceful, preserving, and appropriately applied.

How is our speech? Is it a speech that tenderly edifies the weak, lovingly convicts the failing, and strongly uplifts the faithful?

Let it always be so, for “A wholesome tongue is a tree of life” (Proverbs 15:4).
