He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him (John 3:36).
Will you serve God or not? That is a life and death decision that you have to make every single day. But this verse of Scripture indicates that choosing life is about far more than having an inward faith.
In this conversation with his disciples John interestingly used two different words to indicate the same terms of this decision. Those two words are “believe” and “obey.” In our minds these two concepts are often distinct, but Biblically faith and works go hand in hand.
If I choose life it is a total investment. My obedience declares that I believe on the Son and as such Jesus offers me life. Choose life.
