Accepted of God

In the world of sports, spectators have often claimed to be fans of this team or that, while perhaps having never visited the team’s home field, and maybe without ever having played the game. Yet, it appears that all these have to do to be a fan of that team is say they are. The same is true in the political world; all a person has to do to be regarded as a member of any political party is say they are. Such is hardly true regarding one’s relationship with the Savior. At the Seventh of Matthew, Christ taught that it is those who do the will of the Father, not simply those that call Him Lord, who shall enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. Among the lost will be those who will attempt to make their case before the Lord, claiming to have done many wonderful works in His Name. Whether because they are mistaken or are utterly lying before God, the righteous Judge will deny having every known them. Among those who will be saved, it is not what they claim to be, but what they prove themselves to be, that makes them accepted of God.
