Daily Lift – October 30, 2015

But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the LORD charged you, to love the LORD your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul (Joshua 22:5).

Though this was written to those who lived in a different age – the admonitions are so relevant to God’s people today.

Notice the action words – “take diligent heed,” “love,” “walk,” “keep,” “cleave,” and “serve.” All of these actions are to be taken with all of our heart and soul.

Jesus spoke of an “abundant life” (John 10:10) He desires for each of us. How blessed we are that we can be saved from our sins, walking daily toward heaven, with the precious fellowship of fellow travelers.
