Daily Lift – September 23, 2015

For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth (Job 19:25).

Today, many question and even deny God’s existence. Job did not! In fact, he said, “I know.” An agnostic claims one cannot definitely know anything about God or life beyond this life. Job was not an agnostic. He knew His God lived, and would be his redeemer.

The Redeemer, Jesus Christ (John 4:42), wasn’t upon the earth simultaneously with Job. Yet, Job had faith that one day His deliverer would walk upon the earth and accomplish His redeeming work. Job knew this through faith. Faith came to him from hearing the word of God (Romans 10:17). Likewise, we also can know our Redeemer and obey His will (Hebrews 5:8-9).

As Job said, “I know”, let us also say and sing, “I know that my redeemer lives…
