See Him as He Is

At the First of John’s Gospel, the Apostle wrote that the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. The Savior Himself is here referenced as the “Word,” and His spiritual being becoming flesh has been described as “incarnation,” though the word does not appear in the King James Translation of Scripture. Incarnation defines as “clothing with flesh,” descriptive of the Lord becoming flesh. Interestingly, the Third of Galatians describes those baptized into Christ as having put on Christ; summarily, the Savior put on the flesh of men that we might put on Him. Ultimately, John wrote that it would not be Christ becoming as us, but we becoming as He. “Beloved, now are we the sons of God,” John wrote, “and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is.”
