Life Time Guarantees –
A merchant may have offered to sell you something with a life time guarantee. Were you clever enough to ask him whose life he referred to; his or yours? In reality, that guarantee can only be honored if the guarantor lives to honor it. At the Seventh of Deuteronomy, we are told at Verse Nine that only the Lord God is God, and that He is the faithful God keeping –covenant and mercy with them that love Him and keep His commandments unto a thousand generations. That latter expression seems to be a metaphor for the duration of all time. The Almighty, then, is ever present to faithfully honor His promises to us of covenant and mercy. The Sixth of Hebrews declares at Verse Eighteen that the Lord cannot lie, and the Thirteenth of Hebrews notes at verse Eight that He is forever the same. It is no wonder, then, that the hope we have in Him is described as an anchor of the soul, sure and steadfast. It is a lifetime guarantee, both now, and throughout eternity.
