At the Tenth of Luke, the Savior sent forth seventy men into every place where He would later come. These returned with enthusiastic reports that even the devils were subject unto them in the Lord’s Name. However, the Lord rebuked His disciples at the Seventeenth of Matthew for having insufficient faith to use the power they had been given to also cast out devils. Though the Savior enabled him to walk on the water, Peter drew His rebuke for a lack of faith. Jesus rebuked the disciples collectively for a fearful lack of faith aboard a ship in a stormy sea, and Thomas was rebuked for believing the Lord had risen, but only after he had seen Him. If these were admonished to greater faith, then we also must ensure our faith is up to proper measure.
