Same Image in Christ

It was on the sixth day of Creation that God made man in His image. Though man was formed from the dust of the earth, the life of man was not attributed to his body, but to his soul. The latter is that which was in the image of God prior to the sinful fall and is that which once again reflects that image when sin is cleansed away by the blood of Christ. Paul told the Ephesians that Christians are created in Christ Jesus and told the Colossians that Christians are renewed in knowledge after the image of Him that created them. The Romans learned that God intends for us to be conformed to the image of His Son. What was created in the Divine image on the sixth day may be recreated in that same image in Christ.
