For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad (2 Corinthians 5:10).
The average person does NOT want to accept the truth that a “day of judgment” is coming! In fact, most people seldom give a thought concerning such a thing, nor any reflection to their “eternal destination.” But just because the vast majority don’t think about such things, does NOT lessen the reality that a day of judgment is coming and eternity either in heaven or hell will be experienced by every soul.
The apostle Paul declared to the people of Athens that people are commanded of God to repent, because He has appointed a day “in which he will judge the world in righteousness…” (Acts 17:30-31). The Bible affirms that the day of judgment is coming, and all must give account to God for the way they’ve lived (Hebrews 9:27; Romans 14:12).
