If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them (Leviticus 26:3).
In the digest of Divine laws, the book of Leviticus presents many requirements and challenges to the children of Israel and especially the priestly tribe. 37 times in the book God makes a promise of certain blessing or retribution that begins with the words, “I will.” 27 of those 37 occurrences are in chapter 26.
The promise of Divine blessing is made to those who: (1) “WALK in My statutes,” emphasizing a steady and continuous forward movement; (2) “KEEP My commandments,” emphasizing a knowledge and careful adherence to Divine law; (3) “PERFORM them,” emphasizing faithful obedience to the “letter” and the “spirit” of the law.
God still promises to bless those who walk in, keep and perform His will today! He says, “I will.”
