But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 19:14).
His life was so busy! Multitudes thronged Him; the diseased and grieving desired Him; enemies challenged Him; disciples inquired of Him. Yet, when little children were brought to Him time was not so precious as to deny them access to their Savior!
Parents ought to follow the example of Jesus. Fathers, allow nothing in this world to hinder you from spending time with his son. A mother’s time is more desirable to her daughter than the most precious jewels.
Most importantly, we should never hinder our youth from access to Jesus. By our direction and decisions; by our example and influence our children should be brought to Jesus so that they might enjoy the boundless benefits of the kingdom of heaven.
