Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land (Hosea 4:1).
What sad times in the history of Israel.
Hosea prophesied during Israel’s waning years. Israel would soon be no more. The fall of the nation was easily traced to the very source of its demise: “There is no truth (of God) or mercy (of God) or knowledge of God in the land.”
What sad times in America. Could we be living in its waning years of existence? Could it soon be no more? If so, its fall can easily be traced. “There is no truth of God or mercy of God or knowledge of God in America.”
We alone are the salt of righteousness that can preserve this land (Matthew 5:13; Proverbs 14:34).
