Seek good, and not evil, that ye may live: and so the LORD, the God of hosts, shall be with you, as ye have spoken (Amos 5:14).
Good and evil are both in this world and they work in all of us, but the goal is to seek the good. To follow such a charge from God implies that all of us know that there is a standard of right and that standard is the will of the Father.
What accords with His will is right and what does not is evil. The pursuit of the good, then, is a search for God in His Word.
The result of seeking the will of God is the enjoyment of true life and may we all find that abundant life He offers for Jesus came that His disciples would delight in such an existence (John 10:10).
