For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations (Psalm 100:5).
One of the most challenging things man
is obligated and privileged to do is to
worship God in spirit and in truth (John
4:24). By handling aright the Word of truth
(2 Timothy 2:15), we can learn what God
authorizes us to do in worship. But, how do
we get the right spirit in our worship?
Note the psalmist encourages one to come
with joy, gladness, thanksgiving and praise.
The motivation for such is the character of
God. The one we worship is God (v. 3), He
has made us (v. 3), He takes care of us (v. 3),
and He is good (v. 5). His mercy and His truth
are forever (v. 5). Think on these things the
next time you worship.
