Spiritual leaders, whether in the home or church, recognize the hopelessness of the world without God. They turn to the Almighty for deliverance.
Man’s answers, human wisdom, wine, accumulating things and money, all fail to satisfy (Ecclesiastes 1:13-14; 2:3-11; 5:10-11). Man was created to hold God in reverence and do His will (12:13-14). Young people should be urged to give themselves to God early and learn the pleasure found in His service (12:1).
Serve in humility. God extends His favor to those of a lowly spirit (1 Peter 5:5-6; James 4:10).
