There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
(Proverbs 14:12).

The idea of living for God as a “walk” is found throughout Scripture (1 John 1:5-10; 2 Corinthians 5:7).

In Proverbs 14:12 Solomon describes the two attitudes we can have toward God: We can fear Him or despise Him.

To fear in the Biblical sense is not to be afraid of Him; it is to respect Him. The person who respects God walks in righteousness before Him. On the other hand, the man who loves perversity of necessity hates God. We choose everyday how we walk the way of this life; let it be in uprightness before God.
